Alex Jones: Terrible Person or the Worst Person?

Alex Jones: Terrible Person or the Worst Person?

His entire agenda is to peddle aggressive lies and paranoia to the most gullible people in society and then, when those people are hooked on his nonsense, to sell them overpriced and useless nutritional supplements, doomsday prepper plans, and other nonsense. That some people swallow what he sells does not excuse his actions. It merely shows us that many people are easily duped. That’s not news.

You Get What You Pay For So ABC cancelled Roseanne after the show’s star made one too many inflammatory comments on Twitter. The announcement came after Roseanne Barr sent out a tweet comparing Valerie Jarrett, a black woman, to a character from Planet of the Apes. It’s appalling and disgusting and blatantly racist, but it’s what you expect when you throw in with someone like Barr. Newspeak Doublthink 2018

Break the Rules

Break the Rules

Last week I sat in the Memphis airport and waited to board a United Airlines flight. My dog was on my lap. My dog is a 10-pound, 10-year-old, double dapple miniature dachshund named Maui. Most people love Maui. She is small and cute and charming. When Maui travels with me she spends the plane ride in a soft carrier underneath the seat, but I usually keep her on my lap until we board. My flight took place just about a week after…

From Heart to Mouth

From Heart to Mouth

“When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” —Maya Angelou I took a break from most social media in the final months of 2016 and the first weeks of 2017. I logged on to post links to this blog or an occasional photo, but I didn’t scroll through Facebook or look much past the most recent Tweets in my feed. I was working on revisions for an editor and I didn’t need the distraction. When I…
